Techparley Africa has launched an ambitious initiative, Drive100, aimed at spotlighting 100 promising tech startups across Africa with free, high-impact media coverage this quarter.
Startups and tech-enabled businesses seeking to scale their reach and attract investors have until October 15, 2025 to apply for this exclusive feature.
“We’re on a mission to showcase the stories of 100 startups at different stages of growth, highlighting their triumphs, challenges, and lessons learned,” Techparley Africa said in a statement on the program website.
“By sharing your story, you’ll not only inspire others but also attract potential investors, partners, and customers.”
What is Drive100?
Drive100 is a continent-wide media campaign designed to give visibility to African startups, regardless of their growth stage or industry niche. From early-stage innovators to established scale-ups, the program offers curated interviews and editorial features aimed at amplifying brand narratives.
Through DRIVE100, we want to do more than just report and share stories,” product manager, Aderonke Ogunleti, stated. “Our ambition is to help startups scale by pushing their stories before investors, partners, and customers who can accelerate their growth.”
Participants will share their journeys, from the first spark of inspiration to the milestones that define their growth.
According to Techparley, the carefully crafted interview questions will help founders “showcase their unique strengths and experiences” while highlighting the challenges and resilience that shape entrepreneurial success stories.
Major Questions to Explore
Applicants should prepare to delve deep into their entrepreneurial journeys. Key questions include:
Identifying the Problem: What is your startup’s name, what problem do you solve, and how does it affect your target audience?
Your Solution: How does your product or service address these pain points, and what are its key features and benefits?
Competitive Edge: What sets your brand apart from existing solutions, and who are your closest competitors?
Traction & Milestones: What progress have you made so far, team composition, market traction, and key milestones?
Vision & Impact: What goals lie ahead in the next 6–12 months and up to five years, and what role should government and venture capitalists play in enabling African startups to thrive?
“By featuring founders in curated interviews and detailed editorial profiles, Drive100 will highlight their unique journeys, the problems they solve, and the impact they create in their various communities and markets,” the statement partly read.
This in-depth exploration ensures that each story resonates with audiences, investors, and collaborators.
What Techparley Africa Aims to Achieve
Drive100 is more than publicity, it’s a growth accelerator through storytelling. The initiative offers four key benefits:
Increased Visibility: Startups gain exposure to Techparley’s growing readership of tech enthusiasts, investors, and potential partners.
Investor Attraction: Compelling stories can draw the attention of venture capitalists and strategic partners.
Ecosystem Inspiration: Narratives of perseverance and innovation motivate other entrepreneurs navigating Africa’s complex startup landscape.
Founder Reflection: Founders get the chance to celebrate achievements and reassess their journeys.
“By showcasing the stories of 100 tech startups, the team aims to inspire a new generation of entrepreneurs, investors, and innovators, while also contributing to the growth and development of Africa’s tech ecosystem.
Africa’s startup ecosystem is one of the fastest growing globally. According to Partech Africa’s 2024 report, African startups raised over $4.1 billion in funding across 600+ deals despite a global VC downturn.
Leveraging storytelling, Drive100 intends to boost these figures by connecting promising startups to fresh opportunities.
How to Apply for Drive100
Applications are open until October 15, 2025. Interested founders can start the process by visiting www.techparley.com/drive100. For sponsorship or inquiries, Techparley Africa can be reached at editor@techparley.com or via phone at +234 802 530 0029.
“There is no cost to participate, because we believe that powerful storytelling and meaningful visibility should never be limited by budget,” Aderonke noted. “We encourage all eligible startups to apply and share their stories with the world.”
The selection process is free, ensuring that financial barriers do not prevent promising startups from gaining visibility.
Why This Matters
Africa’s tech ecosystem continues to surge, with the number of startups growing by an estimated 12% year-on-year, according to the African Development Bank.
Yet, many promising ventures remain under the radar due to limited marketing budgets and visibility challenges. Drive100 fills this gap, offering founders a no-cost opportunity to reach broader audiences.
“Stories inspire action,” said Farhan Nasirudeen an Ilorin-based tech professional. “When investors and partners see the grit behind each venture, they are more likely to engage.”
Through weaving authentic narratives, Drive100 not only amplifies individual startups but also strengthens Africa’s position as a global innovation hub. For entrepreneurs eager to share their journey and scale their impact, the message is clear: apply now and let your story drive the future.
