About the Role
The Cloud Security Engineer will play a vital role in safeguarding XM’s global cloud environments. Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and monitoring secure cloud architectures, primarily on AWS, to ensure resilience against evolving cyber threats.
This position directly protects clients, technology, and the company’s reputation, making it a key driver of XM’s continued success.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build secure cloud infrastructures by architecting AWS environments resilient to modern cyber threats.
- Assess and implement security controls across systems, databases, and networks.
- Monitor and analyze security incidents, review logs, and conduct vulnerability assessments.
- Help develop company-wide cloud security policies, standards, and frameworks.
- Prepare clear technical and managerial reports on cloud security health.
- Implement and test disaster recovery procedures to ensure business continuity.
- Safeguard sensitive data in storage, transit, and processing.
- Investigate security violations and educate teams on compliance and best practices.
- Provide guidance to end users on network and security issues.
Requirements
- BSc or MSc in Information Security or a related field.
- Minimum of one year of experience in Information Security with a focus on Cloud Security.
- Strong technical knowledge of AWS services such as IAM, SSO, S3, EC2, RDS, VPC, CloudTrail, WAF, GuardDuty, and Config.
- Clear understanding of modern cloud threats and defensive strategies.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and thrive in collaborative teams.
- Eagerness to learn new technologies quickly and in depth.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Azure or Oracle Cloud.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
- Knowledge of container security (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
