Immigify, a US–based immigration technology company, is set to host a high-profile event in Lagos, Nigeria, aimed at celebrating outstanding professionals and entrepreneurs seeking opportunities abroad.
The event, tagged “The Golden Banquet: A Global Leadership Roundtable,” will take place on Saturday, November 29, 2025, in Ikeja, Lagos.
According to the organisers, the roundtable will bring together distinguished Nigerians with exceptional track records who may qualify for the EB-1A visa pathway – a prestigious U.S. immigration route reserved for individuals with extraordinary ability in their fields.
As part of the event, Immigify will also be inducting qualified participants into the Immigify Elite Club, a network designed not only to help members with relocation but also to support their integration and long-term success in the U.S.
Speaking ahead of the banquet, Emmanuel Olorunsheyi, co-founder and CEO of Immigify, said the event represents a turning point for many high-achieving Nigerians.
“The Golden Banquet is both a networking dinner and a gateway,” Olorunsheyi said.
“We want to help outstanding Nigerians who have earned recognition in their fields to understand the EB-1A pathway and, beyond that, to connect them with opportunities that make integration into the U.S. system smooth and rewarding.”
The event would also feature the highly anticipated second edition of Uplift Hackathon, a support initiative by Immigify targeted towards early stage founders, entrepreneurs, and innovators in the tech space.
With the maiden edition concluded a few months ago, selected founders from the Hackathon are expected to pitch live at the banquet, with judges selecting three finalist winners for the 1.5 Million Naira prize.
Deji Adesola, co-founder and CTO of Immigify, explained that the decision to merge both programmes under one event was intentional.
“Our work at Immigify has always been about two things – talent mobility and innovation,” Adesola noted.
“On one hand, we are opening doors for extraordinary professionals to access global opportunities. On the other, through Uplift, we are backing the next generation of builders who are tackling Africa’s biggest challenges with technology. The Golden Banquet allows us to explore both sides of that mission.”
Adesola emphasized that past winners of the Uplift Hackathon have received mentorship, funding, and global exposure, adding that this edition will be no different.
“The November 29 event is billed as invite-only and is expected to draw a mix of executives, entrepreneurs, academics, and innovators. Interested individuals can reach out to us through our channels.
“Nigeria is blessed with some of the brightest minds on the continent, and many of them deserve to be seen on the world stage,” the CEO concluded.
