In recent days, there has been online discussions concerning our organisation. We understand that these conversations raise important questions, and we believe it is necessary to provide clarity in the spirit of transparency and fairness.

Like many technology firms across Nigeria, we experienced an exceptionally challenging period between 2022 and 2024, marked by significant currency fluctuations, rising technology talent costs, and delays in project receivables from key clients. These combined pressures affected many within our organisation, especially our former employees who faced delays in receiving their entitlements.

Throughout this period, our leadership sought to remain open and transparent by holding town halls, issuing regular written updates, and also sharing personal reflections at the end of 2023. These efforts were made so that our team and stakeholders would understand both the scale of the challenges we faced and the recovery path we were working toward.

Despite these efforts, some commitments were not met within the timelines originally communicated. We recognise how difficult this was for those directly affected, and we sincerely apologize for this as this is a responsibility we have never taken lightly.

Since then, Prunedge has taken key steps to stabilise operations, recover critical receivables, and strengthen its financial position. A structured payment plan has been communicated to all affected, and the plan provides a clear framework for completing outstanding obligations. This plan was designed to complete all commitments by the second quarter of 2026. To reinforce transparency and rebuild confidence, updates will continue to be shared directly with those affected, and we are exploring independent oversight measures to ensure accountability.

As we move forward, our focus is on rebuilding trust, completing ongoing projects, and strengthening the company’s financial and operational foundation. Above all, we remain committed to fully meeting our obligations to former employees, partners, and stakeholders. Prunedge continues to be guided by integrity, professionalism, and a deep sense of responsibility to all who have worked with and trusted us.

On a final note, we are also sincerely and deeply appreciative of the many voices of encouragement and understanding that have reached out to us publicly and privately, including from former colleagues who have shown grace, empathy, and a continued belief in what Prunedge stands for.
