Egyptian startup Nanovate is emerging as one of the most focused Arabic-first AI automation companies in the Middle East and North Africa, developing tools for organisations that want technology built around their language, culture, and operational reality.

Although more than 400 million people speak Arabic globally, fewer than three per cent of global AI tools offer native Arabic support. This gap has forced many regional businesses to rely on English-based systems. Nanovate is directly addressing this challenge by building AI that can understand, think, and respond naturally across 22 Arabic dialects.

Founded in January 2024 by Nancy Madbouly and Ahmed Gamal, the company is constructing an end-to-end AI ecosystem that enables businesses to operate faster and smarter using technology built for their language and market.

While other regional players continue to advance LLM and data-layer innovation, Nanovate is focused on deploying real-world AI tools for sales, customer support, and business operations.

The company describes itself as a technology partner that helps businesses unlock the value of AI and automation.

According to the startup, it works with sectors including e-commerce, real estate, healthcare, food and beverage, and education, delivering practical AI with measurable business impact.

Funding, Revenue Growth, and Market Traction

Nanovate is already demonstrating significant momentum. The startup recently secured US$1 million in early-stage funding, backed by regional and international angel investors from telecommunications, technology, and venture backgrounds.

It has also completed programmes with the MINT Incubator (EG Bank) and the Raya FutureTECH Accelerator.

Within just five months of launching, the company generated over US$10,000 in revenue, signed more than 10 paying clients, and has over 30 additional clients currently onboarding.

It says early adopters have responded strongly to the platform’s ability to communicate in natural dialects and to deliver automation that aligns with local business processes.

Nanovate is currently headquartered in Egypt but it revealed it is rapidly expanding into key GCC markets, with clients already extending into Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

Beyond the region, the startup is establishing partnerships in Sweden, positioning itself within the European AI ecosystem to support research and development for Arabic AI models.

The company aims to become the leading Arabic-first AI platform across MENA by 2026, strengthening its presence across the region while building capabilities that support both Arabic and English AI systems.

Global analysts say Nanovate’s progress supports the view that the next generation of leading AI platforms in the Middle East will come from within the region itself. This positions the startup not only as a solution provider but as a potential standard-setter for Arabic-first AI innovation across MENA.
