Silicon Delta Innovation Hub has announced the upcoming release of two landmark publications: the 65 Most Influential Young Nigerians and the 100 Most Influential Young Africans for the year 2025.
The number 65 is symbolic. It represents Nigeria’s 65th year of independence in 2025 and marks the beginning of an annual tradition in which the list will grow in line with Nigeria’s age as a nation. Each year, the number of honorees will increase to reflect the country’s independence milestone, turning the project into a living historical record of Nigeria’s evolving generation of influence.
The initiative will be published as an annual report and flagship event and aim to recognize and celebrate young leaders who are shaping Africa’s future across technology, business, finance, creative industries, public policy, education, climate, social impact, and culture.
According to Silicon Delta, the initiative is designed to spotlight a new generation of influence, one defined not by age or title, but by measurable impact, innovation, leadership, and the ability to shape markets, narratives, and institutions across the continent and the diaspora.
“These lists are not about popularity. They are about power with purpose,” said the leadership of Silicon Delta through its current head of Content & PR, Mss. Ebiakpo Stephanie Timi.
They recognize young Africans who are building globally relevant companies, influencing policy, moving capital, exporting culture, and solving real problems at scale.
Nominees were evaluated using a rigorous scoring framework based on, measurable impact, Influence and visibility, Innovation and disruption, Leadership and execution, Integrity and future potential.
The final selections will be revealed by category, accompanied by detailed profiles, impact summaries, and editorial features.
The project positions Silicon Delta as a continental thought leader in mapping Africa’s emerging leadership class and creating a trusted platform that connects talent, capital, policy, and opportunity.
The official unveiling is scheduled for later this week with a digital showcase, media features, and high‑level ecosystem conversations to follow.
