Global technology and consulting firm, NTT DATA, has announced a Strategic Collaboration Agreement (SCA) with Amazon Web Services (AWS), aimed at helping enterprises modernise legacy IT systems, adopt agentic AI responsibly, and scale innovation across industries.
The collaboration combines NTT DATA’s expertise in cloud transformation, cloud-native modernisation and agentic AI with AWS’s global scale and rapid innovation capability.
Together, the two firms intend to deliver tailored enterprise solutions that modernise mission-critical workloads, build secure cloud foundations, and generate measurable business outcomes for both regulated and high-growth industries.

Under the agreement, NTT DATA and AWS will focus on four strategic areas. The partnership will accelerate the migration and modernisation of on-premises workloads onto AWS. By leveraging generative and agentic AI, automation and advanced data platforms, enterprises can unlock new business models and drive intelligent operations at scale.
NTT DATA says it will deploy modern, industry-specific, repeatable cloud offerings across sectors such as financial services, healthcare, life sciences, public sector, manufacturing, retail and energy. Using its Industry Cloud, which includes over 500 extensible business components and AI agents, the company aims to deliver faster, secure, and highly adaptable solutions.
The collaboration will support secure, compliant cloud environments at scale, including modernising contact centre solutions on Amazon Connect to accelerate adoption of AI-driven customer experience (CX) platforms globally.
As a launch partner for the AWS European Sovereign Cloud, NTT DATA will deliver “sovereign-by-design” cloud solutions for European governments and enterprises. These solutions aim to meet strict data residency and operational autonomy requirements without compromising on security, availability or performance.
Dedicated AWS Business Group and Talent Investment
To drive the collaboration, NTT DATA has established a dedicated AWS Business Group aligned with AWS’s sales and delivery structure. The group includes nearly 11,000 AWS-certified experts, with plans to certify an additional 10,000 professionals over the next three years.
