UAE-based fintech startup CapQuest has raised $1 million in a pre-Seed funding round led by Oraseya Capital and AMKM Family Office to accelerate product development and expand its international presence.

Founded in 2023 by Antoine Bruna, Marco Banfi and Anvita Varshney, the Dubai-based company provides software that helps businesses manage ownership structures, investor relationships and employee shareholding arrangements.

The funding will support enhanced automation, improved equity management tools and commercial expansion as CapQuest seeks to build on its existing presence across 11 countries.

The company aims to make managing company ownership more accessible, transparent and efficient for startups, scaleups and established businesses.

What is CapQuest and What Does It Do?

CapQuest is a fintech company that develops software for managing equity, which refers to ownership in a business.

Its platform allows companies to maintain records of shareholders, track how ownership is divided and manage changes resulting from fundraising, employee share plans and other transactions.

The company is designed to replace fragmented spreadsheets and manual record-keeping with a centralised system.

Its tools cover capitalisation tables, commonly known as cap tables, employee stock ownership plans (ESOPs), vesting schedules, fundraising transactions and shareholder communications.

By bringing these processes together, CapQuest aims to help businesses maintain accurate ownership records and improve transparency as they grow.

International Presence Across 11 Countries

Since its launch, CapQuest has established an international customer base spanning 11 countries, with a strong focus on the Middle East, Europe and emerging markets.

Its client portfolio includes Holo, Erad, Avenia and Teylor, reflecting demand for software that helps businesses manage increasingly complex ownership arrangements.

As startups attract investors, expand their operations and introduce employee shareholding programmes, keeping track of ownership can become more challenging.

CapQuest’s expansion highlights the growing need for equity management tools that enable companies to maintain reliable shareholder records while navigating fundraising and business growth.

Accelerating Product Development and Automation

The $1 million pre-Seed investment will support CapQuest’s efforts to strengthen its product offering, increase automation and expand its commercial operations.

The company plans to enhance its equity management capabilities through more advanced tools intended to simplify ownership-related processes and reduce the burden of manual administration.

Antoine Bruna, CEO and co-founder of CapQuest, described the funding as “an important milestone for CapQuest and a strong validation of our vision.”

He said equity management remains unnecessarily complicated for many businesses, particularly as they scale and expand internationally.

“We’re building the infrastructure to make equity management more accessible, transparent, and efficient,” Bruna added.

Unified Platform for Companies and Investors

CapQuest aims to establish itself as a leading platform for equity and investment management, connecting companies, shareholders and investors through a unified digital ecosystem.

The company’s ambition comes as businesses increasingly need to manage ownership arrangements involving founders, employees and multiple investors.

By consolidating equity records, fundraising transactions and shareholder communications, CapQuest hopes to provide companies with a more organised way to manage these relationships.

With the latest funding, the startup intends to improve its technology and strengthen its international reach, positioning its platform to serve businesses as their ownership structures and investment needs become more complex.
