Oséyómón Ighódálóh, founder of Silicon Delta Innovation Hub and CEO of Bamboo Group, has announced plans to empower 10 business startups in Port Harcourt with a co-shared office space.

The initiative, announced in a post on his Facebook page on Monday, seeks to foster innovation and entrepreneurship in the region.

According to Ighódálóh, the office space, located along the Ada George expressway, opposite the former governor’s mansion, will offer a fully furnished office space equipped with air conditioning, a conference room, cafeteria, and fuel generator.

Techparley gathered that the facility is designed to provide startups with a conducive environment to grow and thrive.

Ighódálóh’s Vision to Empower Startups

Beyond offering start-ups with support facilities, the entrepreneur noted that he would invest in the growth of the selected ventures.

He said, “I want to empower 10 business startups with a co-shared office space in Port Harcourt. You will get an opportunity of mentorship from me, I will be engaging you in regular training and business scale up meetings.

“You know what it means to get mentored by me? Your business will blow up in less than one year. You will get a FREE copy of my book: “EVERY STEP COUNTS, A CALL TO EVERY YOUNG PERSON ACROSS THE WORLD”, he added.

To secure a spot in the programme, however, startups are required to pay a one-year subscription fee of N200,000.

The fee will grant access to the hub’s resources, mentorship, and networking opportunities.

What we know

The subscription fee is a worthwhile investment for startups, considering the potential benefits and support they will receive.

How Co-working Space Can Boost Productivity of Start-ups

Co-working spaces have become increasingly popular among start-ups, and for good reason. These shared office spaces offer a range of benefits that can help start-ups stay productive, efficient, and competitive. Here are major ways co-working spaces can boost productivity:

  • Networking Opportunities: Co-working spaces provide a platform for start-ups to connect with like-minded entrepreneurs, potential collaborators, and industry experts, fostering innovation and knowledge sharing.
  • Structured Environment: Co-working spaces often have set working hours, quiet areas, and organized events, helping start-ups stay focused and motivated.
  • Access to Amenities: Co-working spaces typically offer amenities like high-speed internet, meeting rooms, and printing services, reducing logistical burdens and allowing start-ups to concentrate on their work.
  • Community Support: Co-working spaces often have a sense of community, providing start-ups with emotional support, encouragement, and accountability, which can help boost motivation and productivity.
  • Flexibility and Scalability: Co-working spaces offer flexible membership plans and scalable office space, allowing start-ups to adapt quickly to changing needs and focus on growth and development.
