GCC-based fitness technology company, Enhance has raised US$18.2 million in combined equity and debt financing as it accelerates expansion into the United States, the world’s largest gym market.

The funding involves Global Ventures, which participated through equity financing, and Stride Ventures, which provided venture debt.

Founded in Dubai in 2018 by Tarek Mounir, Enhance has evolved from a personal training services business into a software company serving major gym operators across multiple markets.

The company said the new capital will primarily support US growth, where its enterprise software has been licensed since January 2025 and is already deployed across more than 700 clubs.

Mounir said Enhance is “becoming the global operating system for Personal Training” as it targets international growth.

What is Enhance and What It Does

Enhance began in Dubai in 2018 as a personal training services business before transforming into a software-as-a-service platform focused on helping multi-site gym operators manage and scale personal training operations.

In simple terms, the company provides technology and operational systems gyms need to organise trainers, manage sessions, improve customer conversion and turn personal training into a more predictable revenue source for gyms.

Enhance currently operates across the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain and the US, supporting 15,000 personal trainers and more than 500,000 booked personal training sessions each month.

The company describes its platform as an “operating system for PT”, with founder Tarek Mounir saying its technology “redefines how PT services are delivered and managed” for major gym chains worldwide.

New Funding to Accelerate US Expansion

The US$18.2 million financing gives Enhance capital to pursue international expansion, with the United States at its centre.

The round combines equity investment from Global Ventures with venture debt from Stride Ventures, helping the company finance growth while diversifying its capital structure.

Enhance entered the US software market in January 2025 and says its platform is now present in 700 clubs including Crunch Fitness, In-Shape Family Fitness, UFC Gym and PureGym USA.

The company calls this a milestone, saying it is among the first GCC-built software platforms deployed at scale in the US.

Mounir said the company is “delighted to add growth capital and to diversify our capital structure.”

The financing also gives Enhance room to deepen its US relationships.

How Enhance Makes Personal Training More Profitable

Enhance is targeting an opportunity in the fitness industry by addressing what it describes as an under-systematised, highly profitable part of gym operations, personal training.

The company says high-volume, low-price gyms with 10,000 to 12,000 members can generate membership-level revenue when just 3% to 4% of members convert to personal training.

Enhance’s software helps manage that conversion across gym networks. At mature locations, PT revenue can reach US$85,000 per club each month, according to the company.

Enhance seeks to become the system of record for a global PT market it estimates at US$42 billion. It wants gym operators to rely on its platform like hotel groups rely on property-management systems. This could help gyms unlock additional income from existing members.

AI, Data and Its GCC Growth Base

Enhance says its competitive advantage is strengthened by accumulated data and artificial intelligence.

Enhance says eight years of sessions have generated data on trainer performance, member retention and revenue leakage.

It says competitors would need years to recreate this knowledge base. Its AI tools help create and automate training programmes, while trainers retain the customer relationship.

Enhance is also growing in the Gulf, with Saudi Arabia identified as its fastest-growing market outside the US. Its anchor GCC partner is GymNation, whose PT operation it runs across the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain markets.

Revenue has grown 65% annually on a compounded basis since 2019. This combination supports its ambition to establish a global standard for personal training worldwide in fitness.
