The All Progressives Congress (APC), Gubernatorial candidate, Monday Okpebholo, secured a decisive victory in the 2024 Edo State governorship election, marking a return to power for his party in the state.
Okpebholo’s triumph came after a though competitive race that has been trending on major news platforms, particularly against his closest rival, Asue Ighodalo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
According to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Okpebholo garnered 291,667 votes, emerging victorious in 11 out of the 18 local government areas in Edo State.
