48-year-old Nollywood actress, Adunni Ade has credited Ramsey Nouah for influencing her relocation to Nigeria.
According to the popular Nigerian-American actress and model, her relocation into the country followed a timely advice from the senior thespian, who she described as a “phenomenal human being.”
Adunni disclosed this while featuring in a recent episode of Hip TV programme Trending, hosted by reality star KimOprah sequel to her participation on set with Ramsey Nouah.
She stated that Ramsey was her primary motivator that encouraged her to pursue her acting career in Nigeria.
“I have told this story a few times but in 2011, I met bro @ramseynouah in Owings Mills, Maryland. I later requested to have a talk with him which we did at a mall close to DC.
“He gave me some pointers I still hold on strongly to 12 years later. He said, if you really want to pursue Acting in Nollywood, you’d have to move out to Nigeria and be in the faces of the Nigerian audience. He added, there are 2 ways to make it to the top. The fast route or what seems to be the slow route.
“You look like the one who would take the slow route (not sure if he really saw that in me or speaking unspoken words). It might seem like it’s taking forever, a bunch of no’s, rejection left and right. But keep pushing until you get to the top and best believe you will remain at the top for a very long time,” she said.
The 53-year-old Nigerian actor and director, whose most recently released movie is ‘Tokunbo,’ is known for his dedication and integrity in the industry.
“I am so happy to work with him on set. He is so different when he is working. I’ve been featured in another project with him. I cannot disclose that right now. I have seen him as Ramsey Nouah the human being, Ramsey Nouah the director, and Ramsey Nouah the co-actor. He is just a phenomenal human being.”
Adunni’s remark comes on the heels of their reunion on a new movie set, exactly 12 years after their first encounter.
