Moroccan prop-tech startup, Agenz, has secured a US$5 million funding round as it seeks to deepen the digital transformation of the country’s real estate sector through advanced data analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), and technology-powered transaction services.

The investment, backed by venture capital firms Breega, Attijariwafa Ventures, and Saviu Ventures, marks a significant milestone for the startup as it accelerates efforts to make property transactions more transparent, efficient, and accessible for buyers, sellers, investors, developers, and real estate professionals across the country.

The funding comes amid strong growth for the company, which has rapidly emerged as one of Morocco’s most influential real estate technology platforms.

Since launching its transaction platform in 2023, Agenz has witnessed growing adoption of its digital solutions, while its website surpassed 730,000 monthly visits in May 2026, reinforcing its position as a leading destination for property-related information and services in the North African country.

The latest investment follows an earlier funding round secured from Renew Capital in 2024 and reflects increasing investor confidence in Agenz’s vision of leveraging technology and AI to address longstanding challenges in Morocco’s property market.

What is Agenz and What Does It Do?

Founded in 2020 by brothers Malik and Badr Belkeziz, Agenz is a prop-tech company focused on modernising Morocco’s real estate industry through technology and data intelligence.

At its core, the platform helps users make better-informed property decisions by providing instant property valuations, market insights, and digital transaction services. The company also supports real estate professionals through lead-generation tools and access to comprehensive market data.

Unlike traditional property platforms that primarily focus on listings, Agenz has built an integrated ecosystem designed to support users throughout the entire real estate journey.

Whether an individual is buying a home, selling a property, seeking investment opportunities, or evaluating market trends, the platform aims to provide the data and tools needed to simplify decision-making.

According to the company, it has “developed an integrated platform designed to support the entire real estate journey.”

Through its valuation tools, market insights, professional solutions, and digital transaction services, Agenz is helping reshape how people buy, sell, and interact with real estate in Morocco.

Why Investors Are Interested in Agenz

Investor interest in Agenz stems largely from its ability to solve one of the most persistent challenges in the real estate sector: the lack of transparency and reliable market information.

Real estate transactions are often characterised by fragmented information, inconsistent pricing, and limited access to trustworthy market data. Agenz seeks to bridge these gaps by leveraging data intelligence and AI to provide users with accurate property valuations and actionable market insights.

The company’s strong growth metrics have further strengthened its investment appeal. Since introducing its transaction platform in 2023, Agenz has experienced significant user adoption and increasing transaction volumes.

Its ability to attract more than 730,000 monthly visitors demonstrates growing consumer trust in digital real estate services.

“Agenz has built, in just a few years, the platform the Moroccan real estate sector was missing, bringing together data, tools and transactions into one seamless experience. We believe this funding will help accelerate an already ongoing transformation of the market,” said Driss Ibenmansour, Partner at Breega.

The statement highlights the broader significance of Agenz’s model, which combines technology, data, and transaction services into a unified experience capable of modernising an industry traditionally driven by manual processes and limited transparency.

How Agenz Wants to Use the Money

The newly secured US$5 million will enable Agenz to accelerate product development, strengthen its investment in artificial intelligence technologies, and expand its range of services.

The company plans to enhance its existing platform capabilities while developing new tools designed to serve a growing network of users, including individuals, real estate agents, developers, investors, and financial institutions.

A major focus of the investment will be the expansion of AI-powered capabilities. As artificial intelligence continues to transform industries worldwide, Agenz sees the technology as a key driver of innovation within real estate, particularly in areas such as property valuation, predictive analytics, market forecasting, and customer experience.

Malik Belkeziz, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Agenz, said the company remains committed to ensuring that technological advancement goes hand in hand with trust and transparency.

“We believe the future of real estate will be built on the responsible use of data and artificial intelligence. Our ambition is to leverage technology to create a more transparent, secure and accessible market, while keeping user trust at the center of everything we do.

“This funding will allow us to accelerate this vision for the benefit of the entire Moroccan real estate ecosystem,” he said.

His remarks underscore the company’s ambition to position itself not merely as a real estate platform, but as a technology-driven infrastructure provider capable of reshaping how the sector operates.

Why This is Important

Agenz’s latest funding round reflects a broader trend across Africa, where technology startups are increasingly targeting traditional industries with digital solutions aimed at improving efficiency, accessibility, and transparency.

The real estate sector remains one of the largest yet least digitised industries across many African markets. Challenges such as information asymmetry, pricing inefficiencies, cumbersome transaction processes, and limited market visibility continue to affect both consumers and industry stakeholders.

By applying AI, data analytics, and digital transaction technologies, Agenz is helping address these challenges while creating a more informed and efficient marketplace.

The company’s growth also signals increasing investor confidence in African prop-tech ventures and the potential for technology to unlock value within the continent’s property sector.

Talking Points

Agenz’s funding round is undoubtedly a positive signal for Morocco’s growing prop-tech ecosystem, but the real test lies beyond raising capital and attracting website traffic.

While AI-powered property valuations, market insights, and digital transactions address genuine inefficiencies in the real estate market, technology alone cannot solve deeper structural issues such as incomplete property records, regulatory bottlenecks, informal transactions, and varying levels of digital trust among consumers.

The company’s rapid growth and 730,000 monthly visits demonstrate strong market interest, yet visitor numbers do not necessarily translate into sustainable revenue, profitability, or long-term market dominance.

Investors are betting on Agenz’s ability to become the data infrastructure layer of Morocco’s property sector, a highly ambitious goal that will require consistently accurate data, strong execution, and widespread stakeholder adoption.

Nevertheless, if Agenz can successfully convert its growing user base into a trusted ecosystem for buyers, sellers, agents, developers, and financial institutions, it could emerge as one of Africa’s most significant prop-tech success stories.
