A Lagos-based tech for agriculture startup, Greenbles Agtech, has announced a new partnership deal with Honda Manufacturing (Nig.) Limited (HMN) which is a subsidiary of Honda Motor Co. Japan, to supply agric-related products in Nigeria.
This was contained in a press statement issued by the cofounder and COO of Greenbles, Saeed Oshin, on Monday, April 22, 2024.
According to the COO and agric thought-leader, the move was inspired by its mandate to be a one-stop shop for all Agric-related solutions, adding that the team “recognizes the critical role of technology in driving economic growth, particularly in Nigeria’s agricultural sector.”
He said, “With a rapidly growing population and increasing demands for food security, it’s imperative that we leverage cutting-edge technology to transform traditional farming practices.
“We believe that our partnership with Honda signifies a pivotal moment in Nigeria’s journey towards agricultural mechanization. And, by harnessing the power of advanced machinery and innovative solutions from Honda, we aim to not only boost productivity and efficiency but also create new opportunities for economic prosperity across the country.
“As a team, we also seek to harness the transformative potential of technology through this dealership agreement to drive sustainable development and elevate Nigeria’s position as a leader in agricultural innovation.
“In streamlining the process of procurement, our technical team has built a dedicated web page on our website tagged: Farm Equipment to showcase available farm equipment. Anyone in Nigeria looking for affordable farm tools can log on to our website for the best discount.
“While we looked forward to inviting farmers and extension officers across the country to shop for various farm machines and tools at affordable prices, we are encouraging younger people by rolling out SmartFarm Bootcamp training sessions to give them a headstart into commercial farming.”
