Saudi Arabian insurtech startup, DESAISIV, has unveiled its AI Insurance Agent, an artificial intelligence-powered platform designed to reshape how medium and large enterprises purchase, manage and optimise corporate insurance.
Simultaneously, the company opening an $8 million growth funding round to accelerate its expansion.
The company says the new platform leverages agentic AI to automate complex insurance workflows, benchmark market pricing, negotiate competitive premiums and generate real-time insights that help businesses make smarter insurance decisions.
“Insurance is one of the world’s largest industries, yet it remains one of the least intelligent from a technology perspective,” said Saed Khawaldeh, Co-Founder of DESAISIV.
He added that the AI Insurance Agent “transforms complex insurance data into actionable intelligence,” enabling enterprises to lower costs, improve decision-making and unlock operational efficiencies.
The launch positions DESAISIV at the forefront of the rapidly evolving intersection of artificial intelligence, enterprise software and insurance technology.
What is DESAISIV?
Founded in 2023 by entrepreneurs Mohammad Nabhan and Saed Khawaldeh, DESAISIV is a Saudi Arabian insurance technology (InsurTech) startup focused on modernising the way businesses handle corporate insurance.
Rather than relying on traditional manual processes, paperwork and fragmented digital tools, the company has developed an AI-powered platform that enables enterprises to manage their insurance portfolios more efficiently.
In just a few years, DESAISIV has established itself as one of the region’s fastest-growing enterprise-focused InsurTech companies.
According to the company, it currently serves more than 600 corporate clients, collaborates with 18 leading insurance brokers and insurers, and manages corporate insurance portfolios valued at more than SAR 2 billion.
AI Insurance Agent: What It Means
At the heart of DESAISIV’s latest announcement is the launch of its AI Insurance Agent, a next-generation artificial intelligence platform designed specifically for medium and large enterprises.
Unlike conventional insurance software that primarily stores information, the AI Insurance Agent actively analyses insurance data, automates complex tasks and provides strategic recommendations.
Powered by agentic artificial intelligence, the platform benchmarks insurance pricing across the market, evaluates policy performance, identifies opportunities to reduce costs, negotiates competitive insurance premiums and continuously optimises insurance programmes throughout their lifecycle.
The platform is also designed to generate real-time insights that help business leaders make informed decisions faster while replacing slow, manual workflows with intelligent automation.
This represents a significant shift from the traditional insurance management model, where spreadsheets, emails and paperwork remain common tools for managing complex insurance portfolios.
Solving One of Corporate Insurance’s Biggest Challenges
DESAISIV’s innovation addresses a longstanding problem facing businesses worldwide, corporate insurance remains one of the largest operational expenses for many organisations, yet much of the sector continues to depend on outdated administrative processes.
According to the company, fragmented systems, manual workflows and slow decision-making often prevent businesses from securing the most competitive insurance coverage while increasing administrative costs and inefficiencies.
By integrating advanced analytics with automation, DESAISIV seeks to simplify this process, enabling organisations to compare market pricing, optimise insurance programmes and negotiate better premiums through a single AI-powered platform.
The result is a more transparent and efficient insurance management process that helps enterprises control costs while strengthening operational resilience.
Ambitious Expansion Beyond Health Insurance
While DESAISIV has already built a strong presence in corporate health insurance, the company is now preparing for a much broader expansion strategy.
Its roadmap includes extending its AI-powered platform into motor insurance, vehicle leasing, general insurance and a wider range of enterprise risk management and financial solutions.
As adoption grows, the company aims to increase the value of insurance premiums processed through its platform from over SAR 2 billion today to more than SAR 10 billion.
This expansion reflects the startup’s long-term vision of becoming the technology backbone for enterprise insurance rather than focusing on a single insurance category.
Why DESAISIV is Raising $8 Million
Alongside the launch of the AI Insurance Agent, DESAISIV has opened an $8 million growth funding round aimed at accelerating its technological and commercial expansion.
The investment will support continued artificial intelligence research and development, broaden the company’s enterprise product portfolio.
It will as well strengthen strategic partnerships across the insurance ecosystem and scale its commercial operations as demand for AI-powered insurance infrastructure continues to increase.
Additionally, the funding will also enable DESAISIV to deepen its capabilities across multiple insurance segments while expanding into adjacent enterprise risk and financial management solutions.
Founders’ Bigger Vision for Enterprise Insurance
For DESAISIV’s founders, the company’s ambitions extend well beyond digitising traditional insurance workflows.
“Insurance is one of the world’s largest industries, yet it remains one of the least intelligent from a technology perspective,” said Co-Founder Saed Khawaldeh. “We believe AI will fundamentally change how organisations purchase, manage, and optimise insurance.
“Our AI Insurance Agent transforms complex insurance data into actionable intelligence, enabling enterprises to reduce costs, improve decision-making, and unlock efficiencies that were previously impossible,” he added.
Echoing that vision, Co-Founder Mohammad Nabhan explained that the company is building what it describes as an AI operating system for enterprise insurance.
“Our ambition extends far beyond digitising insurance workflows,” Nabhan said. “We are building the AI operating system for enterprise insurances, an intelligent platform capable of connecting every stakeholder, automating complex decisions, and creating a more transparent, efficient, and data-driven insurance ecosystem.
“This funding round will help us accelerate that vision and bring AI-powered enterprise solutions to new sectors.”
The statement underscores DESAISIV’s broader objective of redefining enterprise insurance through intelligent automation, data-driven insights and AI-powered decision-making.
DESAISIV at the Centre of AI-Powered Enterprise Insurance
With a rapidly growing customer base, expanding partnerships and a clear product strategy, DESAISIV is positioning itself as a major player in the evolving global InsurTech landscape.
As organisations increasingly seek digital tools that improve operational efficiency and reduce costs, the company’s AI Insurance Agent offers a compelling example of how artificial intelligence can modernise one of the world’s most traditional industries.
By combining enterprise software, insurance expertise and advanced AI capabilities into a unified platform, DESAISIV is seeking to build the intelligent infrastructure that could shape the next generation of enterprise insurance management.
If this could be pulled off successfully, it will largely an enabler for businesses to make faster, smarter and more transparent insurance decisions in an increasingly complex risk environment across various market ecosystems.
