Hi, welcome to Tech This Evening, an After-Work Tech Newsletter from Techparley Africa. Sure, there is a lot to unpack right now. Sit back, while I walk you through.
Top Story: Exclusive: How Salvus Emergency is Using AI to Match Nigerians to Ambulance and Emergency Response
When an accident happens on a Lagos expressway or a patient collapses unexpectedly in Abuja, the difference between life and death often comes down to one thing; response time. Yet, in a country where emergency systems are unreliable, help too often arrives too late, or not at all.
That’s the gap Salvus Emergency, a tech-driven health startup co-founded by Emmanuel Oziuwa-John and Dr David Onoja, is determined to close.
In this exclusive, Techparley speaks with Oziuwa-John about how Salvus Emergency is building Africa’s most reliable emergency response network, powered by artificial intelligence (AI), data, and collaboration.
“When we say Salvus Emergency is building Nigeria’s emergency layer, we mean we are building the digital and operational infrastructure that makes every emergency response possible,” Oziuwa-John told Techparley.

Priv Health: How This Startup Is Using Tech to Tackle Erectile Dysfunction and Men Wellness in Nigeria
For years, issues such as erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, and low testosterone have affected Nigerian men. Yet, the issue remains under-discussed and under-treated due to stigma and cultural perceptions of masculinity. That gap is what Priv Health is tackling.
Priv Health is a digital health startup founded by Joseph Anya and Dr Olusina Ajidahun (popularly known as The Bearded Dr Sina). The telehealth platform provides discreet, data-driven healthcare for men, addressing sensitive issues that many find difficult to discuss openly.
Launched officially in January 2024, Priv Health says it has already served over 1,000 men, built a community of 8,000 members, and generated ₦19 million in revenue.
“Because men are not getting the care that they need, they have poor health outcomes, higher deaths, and they don’t live as long as women on average. The truth is there are a lot of people building solutions for women’s health, but few for men,” Anya, Co-founder of Priv Health said.
