Hi, welcome to Tech This Evening, an After-Work Tech Newsletter from Techparley Africa. Sure, there is a lot to unpack right now. Sit back, while I walk you through.
Top Story: EyeGuide: How This Startup is Using AI and LiDAR to Help Blind Nigerians See and Move With Ease
For Nigerians who are blind or visually impaired, it is a daily struggle to live, as existing assistive tools are either prohibitively expensive or not designed for local realities. EyeGuide, a navigation application is now changing the game.
EyeGuide, developed by Lagos-based technologist Charles Ayere, is an AI-powered navigation app that uses iPhone LiDAR sensors to help blind users detect obstacles, sense human presence, and move with confidence.
For Ayere, this reality was personal. According to him, watching a close friend of 12 years navigate independently proved frustrating. The friend’s struggles inspired him to build EyeGuide. It is also free to use.
“I do not want people paying for something that should be as available as water,” Ayere said. “Accessibility should not be a privilege.”

Ghanaian Start-Up Krontiva Launches Delika AI to Solve Delivery Challenges for Riders, Merchants, and Consumers
In a move set to transform Ghana’s delivery sector, Krontiva Africa, an AI-focused business transformation company, has unveiled Delika, a convenience platform designed to transform how Ghanaians access meals, groceries, and everyday essentials.
Unlike conventional delivery apps, Krontiva say Delika is Ghana’s comprehensive convenience ecosystem, built on the principle that true innovation comes from understanding local needs.
The platform simultaneously serves three critical groups: consumers seeking reliable delivery, vendors needing growth and inventory tools, and riders or motorcycle owners seeking flexible income opportunities.
“At Delika, we’re not just delivering food or essentials — we’re delivering moments of ease in the middle of busy lives,” said Fidelia Senam Agorsor, Chief Experience Officer of Krontiva Africa. “We’ve designed this platform to empower every stakeholder, not extract from them.”
