A widespread Google outage occurred late Thursday, affecting Google’s main services, including Spotify, Snapchat, Gmail, Google Drive, YouTube, and others.
The outage, according media reports, left many users unable to access these services.
Company’s Reaction: Google has publicly confirmed the incident, assuring users of its express effort in resolving the disruption on its platforms.
“The issue with Google Chat, Google Meet, Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Google Cloud Search, Google Tasks, Google Voice has been resolved for all affected users,” the company said.
Recall that on Tuesday, millions around the globe in a similar fashion experienced an outage while using ChatGPT.
Internal Investigation: It claimed it is conducting an internal investigation into the cause of the outage, saying, “We will publish an analysis of this incident once we have completed our internal investigation.”

While the company has stated that the problem has been fixed, it is yet to disclose the root cause of the disruption.

The outage, which began around 1:50 p.m. ET, caused widespread disruptions to various Google services. It also impacted other services, including Twitch, Discord, AWS, and Cloudfare.

- At the peak of the disruption, there were approximately 46,000 outage reports on Spotify and 10,992 on Discord.
