The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has commended its operatives for the successful completion of its mission to attack terrorists in Niger State.
The mission was assigned following a fierce gun battle between the terrorists and operatives from other security agencies which led to the request for air support and as such their intervention.
In a statement made by the Deputy Director of Public Relations and Information, Nigerian Air Force, Group Captain Kabiru Ali, the “successful air interdiction mission on 11 September 2024, indicates the Force’s commitment to assisting other security agencies in fight against crime across the country.”
He added that the “successful operation underscores the Nigerian Air Force’s commitment to protecting the nation and supporting sister Services and other security agencies in combating banditry, terrorism, insurgency, and all other forms of criminality.”
He also assured Nigerians that NAF will continue to conduct air operatives both independently and in collaboration with surface forces to ensure peace in the nation.
