Top Story: SeamlessHR Rebrands as Seamless Technologies, Expands Into AI, Financial Services to Drive Africa’s Digital Economy
Nigerian human resources (HR) technology company, SeamlessHR, has officially evolved into Seamless Technologies, a significant milestone in its growth strategy as it broadens its focus beyond workforce management to include artificial intelligence (AI), embedded financial services, and enterprise procurement solutions.
The strategic transition reflects the company’s ambition to build a more comprehensive technology ecosystem that addresses some of the most pressing challenges facing businesses and workers across Africa, particularly access to finance and operational efficiency.
By repositioning itself as a broader technology platform, Seamless Technologies aims to empower organisations not only to manage their workforce more effectively but also to access integrated financial and business solutions that support long-term growth and productivity.
The rebranding comes after years of steady expansion across the continent and follows the company’s continued investment in technology-driven business solutions.
Explaining the rationale behind the transformation, Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder Emmanuel Okeleji said:
“This evolution reflects a much bigger opportunity than HR technology alone. As we looked at the challenges facing businesses and workers across Africa, it became clear that access to finance sits at the centre of economic participation and productivity.”

Saudi AI Infrastructure Startup Think Raises Over $8M to Power the Next Wave of Artificial Intelligence
Saudi Arabia-based AI infrastructure startup, Think, has secured more than US$8 million in a pre-seed funding round. This marks one of the region’s notable early-stage investments in artificial intelligence infrastructure.
The funding reflects a growing shift in investor interest from companies building AI applications and large language models to startups developing the critical infrastructure that enables those technologies to operate efficiently.
The investment also aligns with Saudi Arabia’s broader ambition to establish itself as a leading regional hub for artificial intelligence by strengthening its local AI ecosystem, expanding sovereign computing capabilities, and reducing dependence on foreign cloud providers.
The investment round was co-led by RAED Ventures and Wa’ed Ventures, with additional participation from Dhahran Techno Valley’s venture capital arm and a group of angel investors.
Explaining the company’s mission, co-founder Ammar Enaya said, “Our customers want the benefits of AI without the spiralling costs, security concerns, and dependence associated with hyperscale cloud providers.”
