Hi, welcome to Tech This Evening, an After-Work Tech Newsletter from Techparley Africa. Sure, there is a lot to unpack right now. Sit back, while I walk you through.
Top Story: DRIVE100 Fellow: Triple R Recycling Bags N2M UNDP-Backed Grant After Scaling Plastic Waste Recovery Across FCT
Triple R Recycling, an Abuja-based climate-focused social enterprise and a fellow of Techparley Africa’s DRIVE100 Accelerator Programme, has secured a N2 million grant from Digital Peers International. The grant is supported by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Small Grants Programme, marking another significant milestone in the startup’s steady growth journey.
The latest funding comes after a string of previous successes, including a $500 grant that supported the development of recycled plastic interlocking paving stones, and a N1 million NIYA Startup 2.0 grant. These success reinforces the confidence that development partners continue to place in the company’s innovative approach to tackling plastic pollution while creating economic opportunities.
The details emerged during an exclusive interview with Techparley Africa, where the founder, Abdullahi Suleiman reflected on the startup’s journey, recent achievements, future ambitions, and the factors that have consistently positioned Triple R Recycling among Nigeria’s emerging climate innovation success stories.
Speaking on why the company has continued to attract grant funding, the founder said Triple R Recycling has built credibility by delivering measurable results rather than merely presenting ambitious ideas.
“I believe our results speak for us. Every grant we have received has been used for the purpose it was awarded. We focus on measurable environmental and social impact, not promises,” Abdullahi told Techparley Africa.

On Startup News:
Kenyan Startup Eyby is Digitising Africa’s Construction Supply Chain With an AI-Powered Marketplace
The construction industry is one of the world’s largest economic sectors, yet it remains among the least digitised, especially the Africa’s construction market.
From fragmented supplier networks and inconsistent product catalogues to manual quotation processes and lengthy procurement cycles, sourcing building materials is still a cumbersome experience for manufacturers, distributors, contractors, consultants, retailers and buyers alike.
Kenyan startup Eyby believes it has found a solution. Through a centralised AI-powered digital marketplace, the company is modernising how building products are discovered, compared and sourced, while laying the technological foundation for a more transparent and efficient construction supply chain across Africa.
Founded in 2025 by Hemal Doshil, Eyby enables manufacturers to digitise their product catalogues, distributors to broaden their online reach, and buyers to search, compare, source and request quotations for thousands of building products from a single trusted platform.
“While many industries have embraced digital transformation, the building products sector continues to run on disconnected catalogues, manual quotation processes and fragmented distributor networks,” Doshil said.
