Hi, welcome to Tech This Evening, an After-Work Tech Newsletter from Techparley Africa. Sure, there is a lot to unpack right now. Sit back, while I walk you through.

Top Story: Nigeria’s FromAfricaB2B Launches Platform to Connect African Manufacturers With Global Buyers

Nigerian startup FromAfricaB2B has launched a digital sourcing and trade platform designed to connect African manufacturers directly with buyers, distributors, retailers, and sourcing professionals across international markets.

Founded in 2025 by Nigerian entrepreneur Ukpabio Juliet Archibong, the platform aims to address a longstanding challenge facing African manufacturers, limited visibility in global supply chains despite growing production capacity across the continent.

The company provides a dedicated marketplace where manufacturers can showcase their products, production capabilities, certifications, and export readiness to potential buyers worldwide.

By creating a platform focused exclusively on African manufacturing, FromAfricaB2B hopes to simplify cross-border trade and help international buyers discover verified suppliers across sectors ranging from food and beverages to fashion, cosmetics, wellness, and consumer goods.

“Our mission is to increase visibility for African manufacturing and make it easier for global buyers to source directly from the continent,” Archibong said.

South African Startup Handal Launches Platform to Simplify Hiring and Managing Creative Talent

South African startup Handal has officially launched a curated talent booking and project management platform designed to streamline how businesses discover, hire, manage, and pay creative professionals.

The platform seeks to eliminate the fragmented and often inefficient processes that characterise freelance creative work by bringing talent discovery, project execution, communication, and payment management into a single structured environment.

Founded by entrepreneur Riyana Randall, Handal enters the market with a clear objective, to simplify the relationship between businesses and creative professionals while creating greater transparency, efficiency, and accountability on both sides.

According to Randall, the current process of sourcing and working with creative professionals remains unnecessarily complex and dependent on multiple disconnected tools and communication channels.

“Right now, a business looking for a senior copywriter or art director sends a message on WhatsApp, waits for someone to reply with a name, reaches out over email, negotiates a rate, shares a brief over WeTransfer, tracks feedback through a chain of replies, chases an invoice, and hopes for the best,” she said.
